Hi folks!
Mark & I are going off the grid for our annual Fall Frolic - no cell
phones, email, computer, etc. until October 9th!
We WILL see many of you this coming Wednesday for the Ralph Shaw
workshop at 6:00 pm - yippee! We've had 35 sign up for the workshop/
concert so there's still room. We've rented extra chairs because, for

The days are turning cool, kids are back in school, and vacations are
long over! It's time to get back in the swing of things. Regular
hootenannies resume starting this Sunday, September 16th!
What: L'Arche Hootenanny
Where: 197 Hinton Ave. N (Parkdale and Wellington area)

Thanks to all who helped out with the ukulele workshop, TJ Wheeler's
childrens' parade and the BUG Jam on Sunday at the Ottawa Folk
Festival! It was a wonderful day and Mark and I had so much fun
singing and playing with all of you! And as always we've had a few new
signups - BUG's enthusiasm is definitely contagious!

Hello Folks,
Thanks to all of you who have responded to me and especially all those who have purchased their tickets. Some people have e-mailed me the funds, and I in turn can send tickets out by good old-fashioned mail, or drop them over to you or arrange some other delivery method.
Since we need to limit the numbers because of space limitations it would be wonderful to get as many tickets into peoples' hands as possible before the show, or at least to have firm replies from those who are definitely coming. So any of you who wish to ensure your seat, please get back to me as soon as possible. To those of you who have already replied in the negative, sorry for cluttering your inbox.

You are receiving this e-mail because I, in my careful evaluation of your exquisite taste, just thought you might be interested. Margaret and I are hosting a House Concert by the wonderful singer and songwriter, Ben Sures, whom many of you will know. Ben is a multiple award winning songwriter. His triumphs include having won the very highly regarded John Lennon Songwriting Contest TWICE. I hate to categorize music other than as music that I like and music that I'm not so taken with and Ben is one of the artists that I really enjoy enormously. His live performances are hugely entertaining for his stories as much as for the music.
