BUGs will once again be entertaining southern Ottawa residents and visitors on Canada Day in Vernon this July 1st from 2:00-4:00pm! Fingers crossed for good weather but if it's raining, we'll simply play inside the community centre. After playing, we'll support the Vernon Community Association's BBQ by purchasing a hamburger or hot dog and having dinner together. After dinner, BUGS are invited to stroll up the road to Sharon's place for a cool brew and junk food/munchies (I'll put a box of beer on ice, but please BYOB). Bring your bathing suit for a cool swim and/or hot tub at Brian's if you like. At dusk, we'll head back down to the community centre to watch the impressive fireworks display. We had a great time last year and the audience loved us!

RAIN OR SHINE! If it's raining, we'll be inside the community centre!

WHERE:  Vernon Community Centre, 7950 Lawrence Street. Just a 30 minute drive south of Hunt Club via Bank Street. Once you enter Vernon, turn left at the flashing yellow light. The community centre is just down the road on the right-hand side.

JAM TIME: 2 - 4 (please try to arrive by 1:30 for set-up)

PLAYLIST: See the list above - we'll be handing this out to audience members and letting them request songs!

    WHAT TO BRING:

    • comfortable chair
    • music stand
    • clothespegs or clips to keep the song pages from flipping in the wind
    • ukulele (and kazoo)
    • water
    • sunscreen
    • hat
    • BUG t-shirt or something colourful (like red!)
    • sunglasses
    • bug spray (if desired, for the evening hours)
    • BYOB for Sharon's party

HOPE TO SEE YOU IN VERNON ON CANADA DAY!

    Sharon

Thank you SOOOOOO much for coming out to Vernon, guys. The audience loved us and the Vernon Ukulele Players were thrilled to play with the big guns. BUG helped make the Canada Day festivities in Vernon shine despite the lousy weather. Happy Canada Day! and thank you for spending it in small town rural Ontario!
