  • Bette Davis Eyes - Kim Carnes (1981)

You can play along with the first video! For BUG night we'll use the easy version.

I've posted an easy version and a more challenging version - both can be played together. It's to show you that often you can simplify a song with difficult chords by dropping the extras e.g. the [Bbadd9] becomes [Bb] and the [Dm7] becomes [Dm]. In the EASY songsheet, you can also play [F] for [F7] and [C] for [Csus4]!

Bette Davis Eyes is a song written by Donna Weiss and Jackie DeShannon, and made popular by American singer Kim Carnes. DeShannon recorded it in 1974; Carnes' 1981 version spent nine weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was Billboard 's biggest hit of the entire year for 1981. The 1981 recording won the 1982 Grammy Awards for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year. (Wikipedia)
