BUGs for the third year in a row, will once again be entertaining southern Ottawa residents and visitors on Canada Day in Vernon this July 1st from 2:00-4:00pm! Joining Mark and Sue and the BUG group under the big tent are the VUPs (Vernon Ukulele Players) and the UKES (Ukulele Kemptville Enthusiasts) - 3 groups playing together!
After playing, we can support the Vernon Community Association's BBQ by purchasing a hamburger or hot dog and having dinner together.
After dinner, BUGS are invited to stroll up the road to Sharon's place for a cool brew and junk food/munchies (I'll put a box of beer on ice, but please BYOB). Bring your bathing suit for a cool swim and/or hot tub at Brian's if you like. At dusk, we'll head back down to the community centre to watch the impressive fireworks display. We had a great time these past two years, and the audience loved us!
RAIN OR SHINE! If it's raining, we'll be inside the community centre!
WHERE: Vernon Community Centre, 7950 Lawrence Street. Just a 20 minute drive south of Hunt Club via Bank Street. Once you enter Vernon, turn left at the flashing yellow light. The community centre is just down the road on the right-hand side.
JAM TIME: 2 - 4 (please try to arrive by 1:30 for set-up)
PLAYLIST: Posted above - we'll be handing this out to audience members and letting them request songs!
