It's free and you don't need to be any good.
Where: Clocktower Brew Pub, lower level, 575 Bank Street, Ottawa
When: 7 to 10 p.m. But come early and join us downstairs for a delicious dinner, snack, or drinks, anytime after 5:30! Coming early will also give you the chance to meet new friends, ogle their ukuleles, and pick up some ukulele tips and tricks....
We really want you to be part of the song selection process! It's super easy! First take a look at the SONGS page and email me at Sue@bytownukulele.ca with the name of a song you'd like the group to play. You don't have to lead it, just make a song suggestion - we can find a willing volunteer to lead. But if you WOULD like to give leading a try, yourself or with friends, let me know. We'll be there to support you all the way! It's a lot of fun to have different folks up to the mic!
OR email me the name of NEW songs you think would be good for group play! We LOVE new songs! It helps if you can send a songsheet to me, preferably in an editable form, or a link to a song sheet, so that I can prepare them for the group. Here are some other great sites to find new songs: Richard G's Ukulele Songbook, Jim's Ukulele Songbook, or Ukulele Wednesdays
DEADLINE for song submissions for the next jam: Friday, February 7, 2020 (but sooner is very much appreciated to give us time to review/format the songsheets, make up the PDF Jam book and Chord Chart, and create the OnSong presentation for the screens!)
To enhance your enjoyment of the upcoming jam, familiarize yourself with the songs in advance. That way you'll be able to support your song leaders by singing lustily!
See you all there!
