Here's an email that we just received from the Music and Beyond Festival.
Last year 20 or so BUG members participated in this festival at Saunders
Farm. It was a fun day - not without its on-site challenges of sound
bleed.but BUG members rose to the challenge and I think we all had a good

If you missed Joe Crowley’s first ukulele workshop featuring the
strumming style of George Formby, be sure to get in on the this one
(back by popular demand!) on Saturday, June 23, 1:30-3:30 at the
Ottawa Folklore Centre (OFC)! Mark and I took the workshop and it was
terrific - Joe was an excellent instructor.

I live in Vernon (Bank Street south, southern most part of Ottawa) and our village does a nice Canada Day celebration complete with BBQ and a nice display of fireworks. I'm wondering if there might be interest from the BUG group in performing for the crowds this Canada Day? I've emailed the organizers to see if they have any interest or need for additional performers. Might this appeal to any of you folks that don't have plans for July 1st yet?
